About the programme:

IAGES & Chennai Hernia Society will conduct a 3 day programme consisting of live surgeries, scientific lectures and latest advances. There are many interesting lectures which we feel would benefit the Surgtest user

    If you have less than 5 years of experience in Laparoscopic Hernia Surgery after post graduation, you can only attend the CME & live workshop.

    If you have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Laparoscopic Hernia Surgery after post graduation, and have performed over 25 in Laparoscopic Hernia Surgeries either jointly or independently, you can apply for the examination category of the FALS course.

    (You will be required to submit an experience certificate from your HOD, employer or yourself if you own a hospital)

    If you have 10 or more years of experience in Laparoscopic Hernia Surgery and have performed more than 100 Laparoscopic Hernia Surgeries, you are eligible for the Non-Examination category of the FALS course.

    (You will be required to submit a logbook to substantiate your claim of having performed 100 Laparoscopic Surgeries along with an experience certificate from your HOD,employer or yourself if you own a hospital).

    Attendance is compulsory for all sessions over the 3 days of the course (14th, 15th & 16th of Oct, 2022). It is mandatory for course participants to stay inside the hall until the proceedings are over.

    You are required to sign in and sign out 4 times each day (sign in & out once before lunch and once after lunch).

    Registration will open at 7 a.m on the morning of 14th Oct, 2022. Please make arrangements to be in Chennai on the previous evening or latest by 8 a.m on the 14th of Oct, 2022 (Friday).

    For exam category participants, the written exam will take place on Day 2 (15th Oct, 2022) and the VIVA will take place on Day 3 (16th Oct, 2022)

    For non-exam category participants, the VIVA will take place on Day 2 (15th Oct, 2022).

    The last signout will be on 16th of Oct, 2022 (Sunday) at 2 p.m

    Fellowship Certificates will be awarded to successful candidates in the exam & non-exam category in Coimbatore in Feb’23 during the Grand Convocation Ceremony in the National Congress IAGES 2023. Successful candidates are required to attend in person to receive their Fellowship Certificates.
